Table Mountain Casino New is Hiring an Events Coordinator Near Friant, CA

Purpose of Position:
Assist the Events Manager in the creation, development, implementation, and execution of all promotions, special events, etc. for the property. Sells services, venue space, catering, and other property amenities to prospective groups, both externally and internally, ensuring that the goals and objectives are obtained.
Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field is required unless otherwise waived by Executive Management.
  • Three (3) years' experience of promotion/special event or marketing experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, guest service, and communication skills are required.
  • Must be an organized, flexible, proactive, sales-driven, and self-motivated team player.
  • Ability to speak in front of large crowds and make public overhead announcements.
  • Master of Ceremonies experience is preferred.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Present and promote venue space, catering services, and other property amenities.
  • Take inbound sales opportunities and prospect for sales lead opportunities for casino resort amenities.
  • Handle inbound/outbound sales calls to prospect repeat and new group business for casino resort.
  • Assist with negotiation and closing sales for use of casino resort venue, catering and other amenities.
  • Act as property Master of Ceremonies presenting announcements as it pertains to the promotion or events, as needed.
  • Actively participate in creative meetings for new promotions, event ideas, and concepts.
  • Prepare and disseminate event-related information to appropriate departments, vendors, and others in a clear, concise, and timely manner.
  • Creates and distributes information, procedures, and rules regarding needs for on and off-site events.
  • Maintain communication with hotel management regarding large groups visiting the property to ensure all services are delivered.
  • Supports as a contracts liaison between the department, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Assist in preparing, obtaining signatures, vendor contract completion, and submissions to Tribal Gaming Commission.
  • Encourage attendance and participation by bringing excitement, activity, and celebration to the promotion or special event.
  • Maintain timely procedures for the tracking and execution of all pertinent invoices and bills concerning special events and off-property events.
  • Work closely with support departments that are involved with the execution of events.
  • Establish and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
  • Conduct outreach to existing customers and potential new customers.
  • Responsible for tracking sales and status reports for all aspects of special events.
  • Present venue with a clear understanding of details, purpose, and objectives for clients.
  • Before, during, and after events, support will be required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this position, the work environment is occasionally noisy and employee will work indoors and outdoors (exposed to weather conditions). Additionally, the employee will be exposed to cigarette smoke.
